HENGJIE PE100-RC (Resistance to Crack ) pipe, which offers superior resistance to point loading and slow crack growth (SCG) , was designed to solve this problem. This product does not have the bedding requirements of the traditional PE pipes. In addition, it is more resistant to point loading stress caused by stone, or any other compact material exerting external pressure on the surface of the pipe. This product in most soil conditions negates the use of sand bedding, saving significant sand & back filling cost.
Compared with HDPE 100 pipe for Gas supply the Advantages as follow:
1.High toughness:the elongation at brek of High-tough PE 100 (RC) gas pipe is over 500% and this pipe has high impact resistance.At the same time,it is also resistant to strong shock and distortion.Thus,under different crustal movements like ground settlement and earthquakes,the pipe will not be broken as it has high security.
2.Good scratch resistance: The abrasion resistance of the super-tough PE100-RC water pipe is higher than that of HDPE100 pipe. Therefore, under the same scratching situation, the scratching depth of PE100-RC water pipe will be reduced by 30% to 50% than that of standard PE100 pipe.
3.High stress crack resistance: When the outer wall of the pipe is scratched during transportation or construction and the scratching depth is greater than 10% of the wall thickness, the standard PE100 water pipe will fail when the internal pressure of pipe reach the Maximum Operating Pressure (MOP) . On the contrary, even the scratching depth of PE100-RC pipe reach 20% of its wall thickness, the PE100-RC pipe could still work well under the designed MOP and the service life could last for 100years.
4.High point load resistance: During the water transportation, the outer wall of the pipe will suffer from the constant and long-time squeeze of sharps such as stones in the soil. Then the pipe will concave inward, which is called point load. PE100- RC pipe can effectively prevent the damage of point load so as to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the pipe. On the contrary, if the PE100 pipe suffers from the same situation, its inner wall will bulge, which will then lead to partial radial brittle cracking of the pipe.
